Grow Your Faith!
God works. God moves. His hand is powerful to solve all the problems of the whole world in a blink of an eye, and if you dare believe, God is so powerful that what He can do for you or give you is unlimited – even the sky is not the limit; the only limit is your faith! Get your faith out of the box!
Even though God can do all the works by Himself, it is His pleasure to always involve His children in the work He does on earth today. God is always looking to involve you and me in what He is doing today! So that in the end, when the work is done, when miracles happen, when there is victory, His children share in the joy of the victory.
The Lord Has a Need
Jesus spoke to the disciples and told them, “Go into the village ahead of you; there, as you enter, you will find a colt tied on which no one yet has ever sat; untie it and bring it here. “If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of it.’”
Even an earthly king has a need; even the richest of the earth have needs. Even our heavenly Father has a need - Oftentimes, He needs you, He needs me. God gives us opportunity to link arms with Him. And when we partner with Him, great things happen on earth and in our lives. The colt owner obeyed the Lord. Without the owner obeying the word of the Lord and giving his colt, there would not have been a Triumphant Entry, through which the Lord revealed Himself to the world! Jesus chose to enter Jerusalem this time mounted on a donkey to claim publicly that He was the chosen son of David to sit on David’s throne, the one of whom the prophets had spoken. Through the giver, the prophecy was fulfilled.
Every time You Give, Big Things Happen
To feed the 4,000 people, someone had to give up his 7 loaves and a few small fish. With this, Jesus performed a miracle to feed the multitude and there was 7 large baskets full of leftovers. We can only imagine how much portion was given to the giver of the few loaves and fish!
To feed 5,000 people, a little boy had to give up his 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. He had to give up everything he had. “Jesus then took the loaves, and having given thanks, He distributed to those who were seated; likewise also of the fish as much as they wanted. When they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments so that nothing will be lost.” So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. Therefore when the people saw the sign which He had performed, they said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.” John 6:11-14
Through someone so little, great things happened. Through the obedience of the little boy, the people’s eyes were open through this miracle, and they become believers in Jesus Christ, the son of God! We may say as well that the little boy led a multitude to the Lord! With your giving today, how many people can you lead to Christ? I tell you, many, more than you can know on the side of this realm.
